An Evening with North of Nashville

North of Nashville - Maine’s legendary two-man Americana band - is comprised of singer-songwriter Jay Bragg (based out of Nashville since 2015) and violinist Andrew Martelle (The Mallett Brothers Band). 

The duo formed in 2012 in the bars of Maine from Portland to Sugarloaf and quickly gained an enthusiastic national following with their minimalistic, driving outlaw country sound and seemingly impossible stamina.  To that point, NoN’s summer residency at the now-closed Portland pub Brian Boru was a staggering 8 hour gig.  

The band released 3 full-length albums In their active years.  In 2015, NoN went on hiatus as Jay launched his solo and songwriting career based out of Nashville, TN and Andrew joined forces with Maine rock ’n’ roll act The Mallett Brothers Band.  

NoN now performs just a few of shows a year and remains as popular as ever in New England.
